La storia si svolge durante la
piena della Senna ambientata a Parigi nel 1910. Émile, un timido proiezionista di cinema e appassionato di riprese
cinematografiche, è innamorato della sua 

collega, Maud, alla quale non osa dichiarare i suoi sentimenti.
Émile ha per amico Raoul, un fattorino e inventore esuberante, che si sposta su un furgone accessoriato con gadget


improbabili che ha soprannominato Catherine. Lucille, amica d'infanzia di Raoul, è una cantante di
cabaret che si esibisce nel locale L'Oiseau rare. Lucille ha successo e sua zia fa di 

tutto per metterla tra
le braccia del prefetto della polizia Maynott, uomo ricco e potente, ma divorato da orgoglio e
ambizione.................

projectionist, and Raoul, a colorful inventor, find themselves embarked on the hunt for a monster terrorizing citizens.
They join forces with Lucille, the 

big-hearted star of the Rare Bird cabaret, an eccentric scientist and his
irascible monkey to save the monster, who turns out to be an oversized but harmless flea, from the city's
